Islamic Art & Architecture Walk

Join us for an immersive full-day guided charter and walking tour exploring Islamic art and architecture in the Greater Toronto Area on Thursday, June 26th, 2025, from 9AM to 6PM.

This carefully curated cultural journey celebrates Islamic contributions to design, heritage, and public spaces throughout the GTA. Participants will enjoy artist talks, curatorial question-and-answer sessions, live demonstrations, and hands-on workshops in unique artistic venues.

The experience will be hosted by Sakina, a local interior designer and art enthusiast, accompanied by various artists and scholars who will help you engage with both historic pieces and contemporary works. Discover the beauty of intricate geometric patterns and elegant Arabic calligraphy as each stop reveals new stories and insights.

More than just a tour, this event creates space for reflection, learning, and connection with traditions that continue to inspire across generations. Whether you’re an art lover, design enthusiast, or simply curious about Islamic cultural contributions, this experience is designed with you in mind.

All meals are included – lunch, tea, and snacks will be provided throughout the day.

The journey begins and ends at the Sayeda Khadija Centre in Mississauga, creating a complete circle of cultural exploration and appreciation.
