Darya Sadat Tabatabaei

Hi, I’m Darya, an Iranian-Canadian Tea Specialist based in Toronto, with a background in Food Science and Plant Agriculture. My scientific training has shaped the way I explore tea from cultivation and processing to sensory evaluation and the science behind the leaf. As a tea specialist, my goal is to deepen the appreciation and understanding of tea while bringing greater attention to Iran’s rich tea heritage. Iran has a unique history of tea cultivation, culture, and craftsmanship that deserves a place on the global tea map. My mission is to bridge Iranian tea culture with the international tea community, introduce the world to Iran’s tea-growing regions and traditions, and help elevate Iranian tea on the global stage.
