- Overview
Join Calgary’s Spiritus Chamber Choir as they present their season opener concert, The Colour of Freedom, presenting themes of peace, freedom, and love sung in Arabic, Hebrew, and Spanish. The programme will include music by Canadian-Jewish composer Srul Irving Glick, performed by Calgary harpist, Scott Ross-Molyneux.
This concert will also feature the concert’s title work, The Colour of Freedom, featuring Persian singer Amir Haghighi. Taken from Freedom, a poem by Iranian-born poet Marina Nemat, Vancouver’s award-winning composer/pianist, Iman Habibi hopes his composition raises awareness towards the social changes in Iran that inspired hundreds of millions of people across the world to join hands in support of human rights.
The concert will take place at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Knox United Church (506 – 4 Street SW, Calgary)
Tickets are $25 (adults) / $20 (students/seniors) / FREE (children 12 and under) and are available online through www.brownpapertickets.com, by calling (403) 971-8169, or at the door.
