King Raam – Live in Vancouver
Ahead of the release of a new double album, the ambitious Off White / Chroma Black due later this year, genre-bending Iranian-Canadian experimentalists King Raam will be performing their first Vancouver show in nearly three years at Strathcona’s Russian Hall on September 8 and 9.

Originally the solo project of singer songwriter Ramin Seyed Emami, King Raam now thrives as an expansive creative collaboration with core members Amir Alav (lead guitar, production) and Arman Paxad (bass, keys, production) – a band finally untethered, and if not unburdened, then perhaps capable of transcending burden. Merging various facets of electronic and guitar music, and singing in both English and their native Farsi, King Raam explore literal and figurative apocalypses, occasionally harvesting the pure hedonistic joy that only grows in scorched earth. Noise for the end times that is by turns inquisitive, romantic and seething.

Off White / Chroma Black will be the project’s first full-length album in five years, following 2017’s Until a Thousand and … and a string of one-off singles in the intervening years.

در آستانه انتشار دابل آلبومِ ” سفید تیره / سیاه تند ” و بعد از تقریبا سه سال، کینگ رام در تاریخ ۸ و ۹ سپتامبر دوباره در ونکوور اجرا خواهد کرد.

پروژه کینگ رام که در ابتدا پروژه شخصی رامین سید امامی بود، با همکاری مداوم امیر عَلَو (گیتار الکتریک، پروداکشن) و آرمان پاکزاد (بیس، کیبورد، پروداکشن) وارد مقطع جدیدی شده و رها از محدودیت‌، بالاخره پاش رو از سنگینی چندسال گذشته فراتر گذاشته. این بار گروه کینگ رام با ادغام جنبه‌های مختلف موسیقی الکترونیک و گیتار-محور، و آمیختن اون با وکال انگلیسی و فارسی،‌ به کند و کاو در آخرالزمان‌های حقیقی و خیالی می‌پردازه و گاها به سرخوشی لذت‌گرایانه‌ای دست پیدا می‌کنه که فقط در پس تباهی مطلق امکان‌پذیره – هجومی از نویز که به نوبت کنجکاو، رمانتیک، و لبریز از خشمه.

سفید تیره / سیاه تند اولین آلبوم بلند گروه بعد از تا هزار و نمی‌دونم چند (۲۰۱۷) خواهد بود
