“The Secrets of Eternity (Asrar-e Azal) Featuring Iranian vocalist, Mahbobeh Golzari, the concerts are a collaboration of members of Vancouvers Vashaan and Diba ensembles and the works are primarily composed by Amir Eslami and Ali Razmi.
This is a two-part concert in the traditional modes of Dashti and Nava and it will be the first time that Iranian vocalist, Mahbobeh Golzari will collaborate with this group and it will also be her debut concert in Vancouver.
The ensemble is a unique sextet which revolves around the ancient sound of a trio of Setars (long necked lute) which will be played by Ali Razmi, Peyman Rouhandeh, and Hossein Meimani. In addition to the Ney of Amir Eslami, the group also features the Oud, played by Ali Sajjadi and the Tombak, played by Hamin Honari.”
