There is an ATM machine at the venueRayanne Haines (she/her) is an award-winning poet and producer. She is the host of the literary podcast Crow Reads, is the President for the League of Canadian Poets, and is an Assistant Professor with MacEwan University. Her third poetry collection, Tell the Birds Your Body is Not a Gun won the 2022 Stephan G. Stephansson Alberta Literary Award and was shortlisted for the BPAA Robert Kroetsch Award and the ReLit Award. She’s been published in the Globe and Mail, Minola Review, Fiddlehead, Grain, and others. What Kind of Daughter, her 2024 poetic memoir, explores themes of gender, identity, and grief.
Daniel Maluka is a self-taught Toronto-based artist and writer originating from South Africa. In blending Afrocentric influences with surrealist elements, he showcases the depths of the subconscious. His visually captivating pieces have garnered international recognition, featuring in galleries across Toronto and selling to collectors worldwide. In the realm of literature, Daniel has been published in various magazines and has led poetry workshops. His debut poetry collection, ‘Unwashed,’ published by Mawenzi House, contains visceral and image rich poetry.
