There is an ATM machine at the venue.Karen Shenfeld has published three books of poetry with Guernica Editions: The Law of Return (1999), which won the Canadian Jewish Book Award for Poetry in 2001, The Fertile Crescent (2005), and My Father’s Hands Spoke in Yiddish (2010). Her latest book, To Measure the World, was published by Ekstasis Editions in May 2020. Her poetry has also appeared in national and international journals and anthologies in Canada, the U.S., Mexico, the U.K., South Africa, and Bangladesh. She has recently been invited to feature at poetry festivals on the Isle of Wight in England and in Durango, Mexico.
Zico is a Cairo born and raised, Toronto based hip-hop and spoken word artist. He writes with a sharp, poetic pen from a personal and intimate perspective, hoping his words can create whatever small moments of solace art can offer. His first poetry collection, Reeds: The ldeal Gathering of The Unwell, collects pieces on personal and collective diasporic experiences, calling us in to find comfort and consolation in sharing them with each other.
