Music Without Borders Festival 2024 proudly presents Diwan: An Ode to Sufism, an original orchestral composition by the brilliant composers Gaby Al Botros & Husam Numan. This concert pays tribute to the mystical essence of Sufism through original compositions inspired by Arabic, Persian, and Turkish poetry.
Diwan explores the spiritual and divine themes of Sufi poetry, drawing from classical forms and employing authentic Maqam techniques. Through the verses of poets such as Rumi, Sharif Radhi, Ibn al-Farid, Abu al-Atahiya, and Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi, this concert brings to life the profound beauty and depth of Sufi mysticism.
