“New Sounds from An Ancient Land”

Building bridges between different musical communities, this concert brings together Canadian and Iranian-Canadian clarinetists and composers in a meeting place of sounds new and old. Featuring compositions and premieres by Andrew James Clark, Keyan Emami, Pouya Hamidi, Maziar Heidari, Amin Honarmand, Afarin Mansouri, Parisa Sabet, Saman Shahi, and Bahman Zandi. Organized by clarinetist Peter Stoll, this concert presents fellow clarinetists Sahar Azar, Anoush Taba’i and Bahar Tavasoli, as well as pianists Asal Iranmehr and Saman Shahi, tenor Jonathan MacArthur and violinist Saba Yousefi.
