On July 22 a brand new and unique collaboration of Japanese drumming, storytelling and traditional Azerbaijani dance will take over Trillium Park.

2:00-3:00 Nagata Shachu (feat. Rui Umezawa)
Nagata Shachu has enthralled audiences with its mesmerizing and heart-pounding performances of the Japanese drum (taiko). Their playing is the combination of unbounded spirit and passion with the highest levels of musicianship and discipline. Nagata Shachu will play selected works setting the mood as author Rui Umezawa tells and performs a tale from his book “Strange Light Afar: Tales of the Supernatural from Old Japan”.3:15-4:00 & 4:15-5:00Â Azerbaijani Dance Toronto
Araz Dance group was founded to introduce the folklore dance of Azerbaijan and Caucasus region. They want to bring people together with dance and music to celebrate peace and diversity.
