Dear cinephiles,
We entered the second month of screening this season’s series with the film “Memories of Murder” a 2003 South Korean crime-drama film that is co-written and directed by Bong Joon-ho. It is based on the true story of Korea’s first serial murders in history.
Memories of Murder was well received by both critics and audiences. The film won the South Korean film industry’s 2003 Grand Bell Awards for best film. It received screenings at several international film festivals, including Cannes Film Festival.
