A forty-something Dutch flight attendant has to deliver a child in mid-air on a flight to Bucharest. In the emotional aftermath she meets fifteen-year-old Nicu who lives in the tunnels under the streets of Bucharest. They get involved in a confusing mother/lover relationship.
