- Overview
Alijan Alijanpour is a master of painting, having studied under Mahmoud Farschian and has presented his work internationally, as well as here in Canada: at the ROM and at the Tirgan Festival, for instance. Alijanpour continues in the tradition of Persian Miniature: he is 1 of 5 Miniaturists in the whole world and the only Miniaturist in all of Canada. Persian Miniature gets its name from the incredibly detailed line work, and is known for its expressive use of colour and lighting. Because of Alijanpour’s career as a Miniaturist, he has innate sense of colour theory and can draw anything with ease.
Art supplies are included in the cost of the event.
All children and adults are welcome to participate, but each person who intends to paint must purchase their own ticket. Otherwise, adults are obviously welcome to stay with their kids and observe.
