Monthly Azerbaijani Dance Workshop

Dear Friends and Soon-to-be Friends!

After our outdoor summer workshops, we are back to our usual indoor location in downtown!

Our next Azerbaijani Monthly Dance Workshop is on Friday, October 27 from 7-10 pm at the United Steelworkers Hall at 25 Cecil Street in Toronto. There is plenty of free parking at the back of the building.

This is also going to be a potluck event; So please bring your favorite dish (students don’t need to bring food! 😉 ).

It will be a fun evening with dancing (Azeri, Yalli, Lezgi) and singing along with live music. Everybody is welcome! You don’t need to have any experience in dance to enjoy this event.

Notes:

– Do wear comfortable shoes (leather/suede soles) and clothes to allow you to dance more comfortably and enjoy the best as the floor might be slippery.

– If you dance, you will sweat! So, be mindful of what you wear. You will have exercise and fun at the same time!

This is a voluntary cultural activity and we are hoping to promote dance, peace and happiness! But in order for us to be able to keep going, we need your financial contrinution as the money we have to pay for rent is expensive (suggested donation of $5 to $10).

Please bring your family and friends to join us for an exciting evening of fun and entertainment. Kids are welcome, but we ask that you please keep an eye on them during dance activities! We guarantee you will be laughing and having a great time if you participate in the dance activities.
