Fightback at the Rally in Support of Iranian Revolution

The revolutionary movement in Iran is escalating from street protests to labour strikes, the entire country is in revolt. This Saturday there is an international day of solidarity and in Toronto some organizers are starting at Queens Park and marching to Nathan Phillips Square.
Fightback will be organizing a contingent of our activists and allies to attend the rally. With the heroic sacrifices of the Iranian people on the streets, working class people outside of Iran can take inspiration and urgently help defend their fight against the Islamic Republic and their capitalist system of millionaires and billionaires who have exploited and robbed the workers and youth for 43 years.
We also stand against the opportunistic machinations of western governments like the United States and other European countries who have hypocritically contributed to the suffering of Middle Eastern people for generations, including those of the Iranian, Afghani, Iraqi, Syrian and more. Whether through sanctions in the past few years which directly contributed to death and suffering of Iranians, or installing the equally dictatorial and brutal Pahlavi dynasty for generations before the current dictatorship, we have no trust in imperialism.
The only way for the Iranian people to raise themselves above the present barbaric conditions, to achieve true liberation, is to fight against the capitalist system itself. To take power into their own hands, and establish a socialist society free of bosses and clerics, and of oppression and division; where universal equality and solidarity will lay the foundations for a better life for all.
