#Graduatelife can sometimes be fast and overwhelming, so it is often useful to take a step back and breathe. In an attempt to provide students with a platform to relax and temporarily disconnect from their studies, we are proud to announce a #FREE #Beginners Meditation class, in collaboration with McGill Iranian Students Association, Graduate Association of Physiology, and The Art of Living Foundation, on February 15th, 2020 at Bistro Rhum Cafe from 3-5pm. (No equipment needed).
This event is absolutely #FREE of charge and open to everyone! #REGISTER HERE: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc-e09p2RY4XgK477TlkbsTquAaIhgEl6T6qdJFIMSqE1vKZA/viewform?usp=sf_link
#Meditation has proven effective in improving #self-awareness, #reducing stress and, most importantly, regaining focus on the #positive aspects of life while connecting with others. Undoubtedly, the start of the decade has been quite tough on all of us. Raging Australian fires, widespread epidemics, and lives lost during the heartbreaking plane crash have all had an influence on our morale and mental balance. We all understand and acknowledge that these tragic events might have a particular effect on students, especially our international peers, who also have to worry about their families abroad.
With this in mind, we would like to reiterate and further affirm its openness to supporting students and trainees during such difficult times. Our council aims to serve as a safety hub where students can feel comfortable, welcome and supported. We sincerely wish you the best of outcomes for the rest of the year and hope that your new pages fill up with nothing but joy and success. We are looking forward to seeing you at our meditation event.
