his building was built in 1970 to form the classroom hub connecting Science A, Mathematical Sciences and Social Sciences buildings, but also contains some space designed for Physics Labs.
With twenty classrooms and two large lecture theatres, giving a total seating capacity of 2,202, it immediately became a centre of student activity on campus.
The iconic metal sculpture, the Zipper, stationed in the middle of Science Theaters has been stolen twice, disassembled once, coated in plastic wrap and has had a car constructed around it by Engineering students.
It remains a long-standing pre-exam ritual for students to give the Zipper a spin for good luck.
