Chalipa Art Centre

For over 14 years, Chalipa Art Centre has been one of Toronto’s distinguished spaces for the timeless art of Persian calligraphy, typography, and book arts. Rooted in tradition and guided by a refined contemporary vision, Chalipa offers an exceptional standard of instruction in both classical and modern approaches to Persian calligraphy. Each course is thoughtfully designed and led by experienced instructors, nurturing technical skill, artistic sensitivity, and a deeper connection to the quiet beauty of line, form, and presence. Welcoming both beginners and advanced students, Chalipa provides an intimate and inspiring environment where individuals of all backgrounds can explore the elegance and depth of this centuries-old art form. Beyond education, Chalipa is a space of cultural continuity — where heritage is preserved, beauty is cultivated, and creativity is elevated. Through carefully crafted workshops, private sessions, and curated events, we invite students to experience Persian calligraphy not only as an artistic discipline but also as a mindful practice of focus, balance, and inner calm.
